Voltage Divider Calculator
A voltage divider calculator is an electric tool, which is used to find the voltage across the resistors in series circuits. In general, the voltage divider rule is applicable for series circuits.
In the following figure, a circuit is shown which has two resistors R1 and R2 connected in series with one another. Vs is the supplied voltage and I is the total current in the circuit.
In this circuit, if the total voltage in the circuit is known, then it is possible to determine the voltage across the series resistors.
The voltage drop across the resistor R1 is given by the formula,
Similarly, the voltage drop across the resistor R2 can be obtained using the formula,
Similarly, the current through the series resistor can be determined by using the current divider calculator.
Check out the Voltage Divider Rule for a clear understanding of the rule.
